1.1 Dynamic Health Today (“DHT”) is the trade name of a telemedicine / telehealth platform of www.dynamichealth.today, an online platform designed, owned, developed and operated by Dynamic Health Today (Pty) Ltd (Reg. no. No.2016/229172/07 incorporated in the Republic of South Africa, with its registered office at 1 Hogsback Avenue, Quellerina, Gauteng, South Africa.

  1. 1.2  This Privacy Policy stipulates how Dynamic Health Today (Pty) Ltd (“DHT”) treats personal information collected electronically when you are on DHT’s online platform. DHT respects your privacy and your personal information and for this reason, DHT takes all reasonable measures, in accordance with this Policy, to protect your personal information and to keep it confidential.
  2. 1.3  DHT is committed to protecting the integrity, confidentiality and privacy of the personal information you submit. Online registration automatically collects website usage of information from you when you register.
  3. 1.4  This document contains a number of legal obligations, which you are presumed to be familiar with. We encourage you to read this document thoroughly and direct any queries to our user services at info@dynamichealth.today.
  4. 1.5  Unfortunately, if there are any points below that you do not accept, your only recourse is not to use our website.

2. DEFINITIONS

    1. 2.1  “Dynamic Health Today” or “DHT” means any website of ours and includes all web pages controlled by us.
    2. 2.2  “User” means any person who uses or visits the website for any purpose.

3.1 In the normal course of business activities, DHT will collect personal information, including sensitive information. This information is used inter alia:

  1. 3.1.1  to provide you with the services which you request from DHT and or any of our Providers during ;
  2. 3.1.2  to verify your identity for security purposes;
  3. 3.1.3  to market our services and products.
  4. 3.1.4  Information which does not identify any individual may be used in a general way by us or third parties, to provide class information, for example relating to demographics or usage of a particular page or service.
  1. 3.2  We keep information which forms part of our business record for a minimum of six years, as we may need it to support a claim or defence in court. That is also required to comply with the prevailing tax laws in South Africa.
  2. 3.3  Personal information may include a practitioner name, residential and or business address, date of birth, contact details, occupation, and professional memberships.
  3. 3.4  DHT may collect other sensitive information which may include details of an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, and health information, diagnosis, consultations of a therapeutic nature, electronic communication between the User and our Providers.

 

4. SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

    1. 4.1  DHT takes reasonable steps to ensure the security of personal information that it holds, regardless of the form in which that information is held. This will include taking reasonable steps to prevent the misuse or loss of this information, or unauthorised disclosure, access to, or modification of this information.
    2. 4.2  Where the information is held in electronic form, access will be controlled by user logins and passwords, and restriction of access only to persons who need to have that access in the course of the company’s business activities.

    1. 7.1  When you visit DHT’s Online registration platform, the web server temporarily records the following information for system security purposes: the domain name or IP address of the computer or device requesting access and the access date. Cookies do not give us access to your system or your personal data.

8. USE AND TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

    1. 8.1  DHT uses the collected data for administration and aggregation purposes and solely for that purpose. DHT ensures safekeeping of data and will only disclose data to official agencies if required by law.
    2. 8.2  DHT employees, Independent contract providers and any other associates are by the very nature of their professions and duties, required to keep strict confidentiality of collected data.

    1. 9.1  DHT may commission other service providers who will be bound by our privacy policies as far as they may be required to have access to our customers’ personal information to perform their services.
    2. 9.2  Our website (www.dynamichealth.today) may contain links to or from other sites. While we try to link only to sites that share our high standards and respect for privacy, DHT is not responsible for the content or the security or privacy practices employed by other sites.

10. FINANCIAL INFORMATION RELATING TO YOUR CREDIT CARDS

10.1  This information is never taken by us either through our website or otherwise. At the point of payment, you are transferred to a secure page on the website of www.PayFast.co.za Ltd or some other reputable payment service provider. That page is not controlled by us and our staff and contractors go not have access to it.

10.2  We may keep your financial information to provide you with a better user experience next time you visit us and to prevent fraud.

10.3  PayFast uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates to verify our identity to your browser, and to encrypt any data you give us when you buy, including financial information such as credit or debit card numbers. PayFast’s SSL certificate encryption level is 256-bit. Whenever we ask for financial information, you can check that SSL is being used by looking for a closed padlock symbol or other trust mark in your browser URL bar or toolbar.

10.4  We take the following measures to protect your financial information:

10.4.1  We keep your financial information encrypted on our servers.

10.4.2  We do not keep all your data, so as to prevent the possibility of our duplicating a transaction without a new instruction from you.

10.4.3  Access to your information is restricted to authorised staff only.

10.4.4 We automatically delete your information when the card expires.

10.5 If we ask you questions about your financial information, we shall show partial detail [the first four OR the last four digits of the debit or credit card number], only enough to identify the card(s) to which we refer.

 

11. CREDIT REFERENCE

11.1 To assist in combating fraud, we share information with credit reference agencies, so far as it relates to Users or customers who instruct their credit card issuer to cancel payment to us without having first provided an acceptable reason to us and given us the opportunity to refund their money.

 

12. SENDING A MESSAGE TO OUR SUPPORT SYSTEM

    1. 12.1  When you send a message, we collect the data you have given to us in that message in order to obtain confirmation that you are entitled to receive the information and to provide to you the information you need.
